above all things, put on LOVE!

i love this verse, and its charge!

"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:12-17"

this was a Christmas present for my brother-in-law&sister-in-law, Neal & Sara!{xoxox}

it was one of the scriptures used in their wedding!

I am a firm believer that even in our best moments with the best intentions we forget what's important.

Life gets busy, the phone rings, we forget, the agenda takes over, we're curt, we get stressed, we get in a hurry and forget that instead of all those unnatural 'by-products' of our life; as believers; we REALLY are to be humble, and compassionate, and kind and gentle and patient.....

..and if you're like me:: a parent; then the moment that toy goes flying across the living room, AGAIN and 'bonks' someone in the face, I need to look up and see the words, PUT ON LOVE!!
